Appendix 10A Overview of Evidence of Participation in Creative Activities

I have been engaged in several creative projects. I have been publishing and showing my photography for more than ten years. My photography mostly centers on portraits and street photography. My photographic work has appeared in online publications and has been exhibited in group art exhibitions in Dar es Salaam and Los Angeles. I was recently invited to submit images for the upcoming publication Mfon: Women Photographers of the African Diaspora. Two of my images were selected.

Podcasting has been a more recent development. I began using podcasting as a form of pedagogy in my hip hop course in the spring of 2016. I began producing, recording, and editing podcasts in the summer of 2016. The podcasts became a way of presenting my research on a different platform. As of August, I have produced 13 podcast episodes, in addition to the numerous student produced podcast episodes.
